A bibliophile is, put simply, somebody who loves books. A person who collects them with a passion. Who reads like their life depends on it. An avid believer in “There’s no such thing as too many books. I just don’t have enough bookshelves”
I’m that kind of girl. When I’m not at school, (and often when I am at school) you’ll find me reading, writing and, more recently, writing about reading. I enjoy reading YA fantasy and romantasy. When not reading, you can often find me reviewing books, blogging about reading, chatting about reading, having a rant to my friends about reading, and sleeping. I also sew and dance but that’s not relevant.
People my age find it strange I spend so much time reading. Where’s the excitement in a page of words? Well, the answer to that question, dear reader, is this. Between these dog-eared pages is a world of my own. A place where I can fly with dragons. A place of magic. A place of wonder. Here, I can watch the sun set on a kingdom like nothing on this earth. All of this, between the pages of a book.
In this day and age, a phone can do a lot of things. But a simple once upon a time can do more…
